Designed by Dan Cosgrove, the digital illustration captures a sunset in a sawgrass marsh with diverse wildlife.
Homestead, Florida, was the First Day City for the stamp, although it was issued without a ceremony.
Part of the American Landmarks Series, the Everglades stamp showcases iconic American locations.
The Florida Everglades, a UNESCO Wetland Area, start near Orlando, encompassing Lake Okeechobee and extending to Florida Bay.
The southern Everglades is part of Everglades National Park, protecting a significant portion of the original ecosystem.
It is the largest tropical wilderness and the third-largest national park in the continental United States.
Everglades National Park hosts various threatened or protected species, including the Florida panther and American crocodile.
The park, with its rich biodiversity, attracts over a million visitors annually.
